At Mesa Oil’s New Mexico facility, cutting-edge oil re-refinement and re-refining techniques are utilized to transform used lubrication oil into valuable, reusable products. Our facility employs an advanced wiped film evaporator to process used oil, resulting in the production of vacuum gas oil (VGO). This VGO is then transported to a hydrotreating finishing process, which is the next critical step in the re-refining system, producing high-quality base lube oil.

The hydrotreating process ensures that the base lube oil meets stringent performance and environmental standards. Once re-refined, the base lube oil can be used repeatedly in various lubrication products without compromising quality or functionality. This allows for a significant reduction of the need for fresh crude oil extraction, promoting resource conservation and contributing to a more sustainable environment.

By focusing on continuous re-refining, Mesa Oil plays a vital role in the circular economy, ensuring that valuable resources are used efficiently and responsibly. The oil re-refinement process decreases the overall demand for crude oil, helping to reduce the environmental impact associated with traditional oil production methods. Our New Mexico facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest level of precision at each stage of the re-refining cycle.
