Oil Processing
Mesa Environmental is a leader in oil processing, specializing in the collection and treatment of used oil and water contaminated with oil. We transport these materials to one of Mesa Oil’s three state-of-the-art processing facilities, where they undergo comprehensive and environmentally responsible processing.
Once collected, the used oil and contaminated water are separated through a detailed oil processing system. This involves breaking the oily water emulsion to efficiently isolate the oil from the water. The water is then carefully treated to remove any residual contaminants, after which it is fully analyzed by a certified independent laboratory to ensure it meets all safety and environmental standards. Once confirmed, the treated water is transported to an approved water disposal facility in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The recovered oil is further purified through a multi-step filtration process, ensuring high-quality output. Following filtration, the oil is blended in a burner fuel tank or provided as feedstock for re-refining into base lube. Burner fuel serves as part of our commitment to sustainability by converting waste into usable energy and re-refining serves as part of our commitment to reducing our dependence on producing more crude for lubricants. Before any final product is distributed, a sample from the batch is sent to an independent laboratory to ensure it meets strict industry specifications. This independent certification is a crucial part of our oil processing protocols, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and environmental stewardship.
In addition to our oil processing services, Mesa Environmental offers a range of solutions designed to support industries in managing their oil waste responsibly.
